Apply today to become part of the Universal team!This senior-level position will manage and perform activities related to the design, installation, operation, optimization, troubleshooting, maintenance and protection of the companies’ physical and virtual server infrastructure and associated applications both on-premise and in the cloud.PRIMARY DUTIES/TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTED:* Windows Server – Versions 2016 and higher. Active Directory/ADDS, Group Policy, Print + File Servers, Remote Desktop, IIS, Failover Clustering* Develop, support and maintain companies’ Azure posture* Microsoft 365 – Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, InTune* VMware ESXi/vCenter/VCF* Veeam Backup & Recovery and/or Veeam Data Cloud* Deploy OS/platform upgrades, maintenance fixes and vendor-supplied patches* Report on various performance metrics* Create documentation for system configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks* Conduct research on emerging products, services and technologies* Participate in constant cross-training with other engineers* Participate in an on-call rotation with a team of other engineersDESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* At least 5-7 years working in a 150+ server, 24x7x365 environment* Strong familiarity with networking topics such as TCP/IP, basic routing/switching and firewalls* Experience opening and fielding high-level support cases with vendors* Experience with backup management, lifecycle and long-term retention methodologies* Experience with certificate management and/or automation* Experience with Disaster Recovery planning, deployment and testing* Familiarity with both batch and PowerShell scripting* Experience supporting Linux in a production environment a plus* Excellent written and verbal skills* **Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment*** **Must have a team-oriented attitude**This position will require work outside of regular business hours but scheduling is flexible.
