Job Summary: Provide compassionate and professional neurodiagnostic testing services to patients and healthcare providers by accurately performing EEG and EP tests. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adults, and seniors, across various levels of health and disability. Essential Responsibilities: Conduct clear and interpretable EEGs and evoked potentials on both inpatient and outpatient populations. Adapt testing procedures to accommodate patients of all ages and medical conditions, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain and monitor neurodiagnostic equipment to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to quality control standards. Coordinate patient transportation to and from the neurodiagnostic lab or perform portable EEG recordings when necessary. Apply specialized techniques for unique recordings, such as electrocerebral silence tests. Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care and maintain collaborative relationships. Manage scheduling in coordination with department leadership to address fluctuating testing demands. Order and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies essential for daily operations. Develop and maintain knowledge of neurological disorders affecting test results. Accurately enter billing charges into the hospital's electronic systems. Assist in quality control initiatives and promptly address any discrepancies in test results. Participate in ongoing educational programs and departmental in-services to stay current with best practices. Education and Experience: Must be a Registered EEG Technologist or meet ABRET requirements to obtain certification. Enrollment in an accredited EEG program is acceptable; new graduates have one year to achieve certification. Licensure/Certifications: ABRET Board Certification is mandatory. Work Shift: Primarily 4th shift hours. This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States. MLee Medical Employment
