Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Higganum, CT

This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is ideal for licensed clinicians holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) seeking a travel assignment in a school setting. The position covers maternity leave from April 15 to June 11 and involves providing services to students in grades 4 through 8 within intermediate and middle school environments.


Position Details:

• Location: Higganum, CT (Travel assignment)
• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Schools served: Intermediate School (4th-5th grades) and Middle School (6th-8th grades)
• Assignment Duration: April 15 to June 11 (Maternity Leave Coverage)
• Required Credentials: SLP with CCC certification
• Experience Level: Dependent on years of school-based practice

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language evaluations, interventions, and teletherapy services tailored to pediatric populations
• Collaborate with educators, healthcare staff, and families to support students' communication development
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and state guidelines
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise on speech and language goals

Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Experience with school-aged children, ideally grades 4-8, preferred
• Familiarity with pediatric speech and language disorders and teletherapy delivery
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
