Job Description

Manage all on-site construction activities from project mobilization through completion. Lead and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators. Coordinate daily work plans to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved. Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, conflicts, or operational challenges. Maintain a strong focus on job site safety and enforce OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections. Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce allocation. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, and clients. Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is executed correctly. Manage quality control efforts and ensure compliance with project requirements. Track production quantities and provide regular progress updates to project leadership. Assist with change order documentation, project reporting, and project closeout activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and municipal representatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Superintendent should have: 7+ years of superintendent, foreman, or field leadership experience within civil construction. Experience managing heavy civil, site development, excavation, underground utility, roadway, paving, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, and field operations. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project schedules. Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. Strong leadership and team management skills. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively manage subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders. Experience with construction management software, daily reporting systems, and project documentation tools preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Southern New Jersey.
