As a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A at Upper Lakes Foods you'll take the wheel of a tractor trailer, navigating the roads while ensuring timely deliveries of our diverse product range, including meat, produce, frozen goods, and more. Your role will involve manually unloading these products using a two-wheeler on metal truck ramps, where your customer service skills will shine as you create a positive experience at each site. Safety is a top priority, so you'll operate in full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring that every delivery is not only efficient but also secure. To excel as a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A with Upper Lakes Foods, you'll need a mix of technical skills and a customer-focused mindset. Operating a tractor trailer safely is essential, so a valid Class A CDL is required. You'll be unloading various products using a two-wheeled hand cart, so physical strength and stamina are crucial; lifting and moving items in a variety of sizes, with boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Moving product with the two-wheeled cart may have a combined weight up to 500 pounds. Familiarity with software for pre-trip inspections and invoice verification, along with the ability to maintain delivery schedules, is equally important. You should be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and have strong communication skills to interact with customers.
