This role involves developing embedded software for a real‑time distributed power‑amplified module system. Responsibilities Build the software for real‑time coordination of hundreds of intelligent power‑amplified modules over web‑based services Architect and evolve an embedded Linux platform using open‑source software and web‑based micro‑services Design and implement system‑management software to safely bring up, shut down, and monitor a distributed system of electronic components Provide mentorship and guidance to team members in embedded software development Qualifications BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 8+ years of experience developing software in a systems programming language such as C++, Rust, or C Experience developing resource‑constrained software for embedded systems Expert knowledge of multithreading, parallelism, and concurrency; ability to produce thread‑safe software modules that cooperate well together Firm grasp of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and other computer science fundamentals Understanding of computing performance and ability to optimize software performance in large or distributed systems US citizen or permanent resident (future clearance may be required) Export Compliance To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green‑card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
