Duties

The duties include:

• Exercising exclusive law enforcement jurisdiction responsible for the apprehension or detention of persons suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States.
• Serving as a police patrol officer enforcing Federal criminal laws and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) involving persons and property.
• Protecting government property, materials, and facilities against trespass, theft, fire, damage, and espionage.
• Detaining or arresting suspected or guilty persons.
• Collecting and protecting evidence, witnesses, victims, etc.
• Arresting persons committing or suspected of committing crimes on the installation.
• Patrolling assigned area by vehicle or on foot to preserve the peace, prevent crime, and protect lives and property.
