Job Title

M-F 8a - 4p. 30 Minute Unpaid Lunch Break No Holiday work, Overtime or travel required Free Parking Provided Assignment 6 mos - 2 years

Caring for inmates/individuals at facility and making treatment decisions for chronic medical decisions. Referrals to outside facilities for special care. Responding to accommodations requests. Guidance and care with infirmary care or diagnostic testing. Reading and reviewing x-rays and EKGs. Treatment of inmates/individuals for opioid use disorder medication-assisted treatment (OUD MAT) prescribing. Coordinate care with other agencies i.e. OMH in concomitant care in facility. Post hospitalization treatment and follow up care. Monitoring hunger strikes within facility. Emergency care of injured patients in facility i.e. splinting, stabilizing etc. Prescribing medications for chronic or acute conditions. Monitoring treatment in accordance with infectious disease policies for DOCCS. Ordering imaging, labs, and ancillary health testing as appropriate for condition or complaint.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in NYS Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner. Perform other reasonably related duties as required. New Wave People is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
