Looking for meaningful work where you can be a mentor, coach, and positive influence? Kindly Direct Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Parlin NJ 08859 to work one-to-one with an adult with developmental disabilities.
About This Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping another person build confidence, routines, social skills, community connections, and greater independence. The strongest candidate will be consistent, encouraging, active, and able to build trust over time.
You May Spend Your Shift
Participating in Recreation/exercise/errands/events/hobbies/volunteering with the individual.
Coaching daily living, communication, social, and independence skills.
Helping establish positive routines and work toward individualized goals.
Modeling problem-solving, appropriate communication, and healthy community participation.
Supporting decision-making, self-advocacy, and confidence.
Providing companionship and a consistent mentoring relationship.
Maintaining safety and following individualized support instructions.
Completing required documentation and staying in close communication with the Kindly team.
Qualifications
Dependable, engaging, patient, and able to build rapport.
Experience in mentoring, coaching, education, recreation, behavioral health, human services, disability support, or caregiving is a plus.
Able to commit reliably to Exact Schedule.
Vehicle Required
Able to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training.
Schedule: Mondays 3:00PM- 5:00PMpm, Wednesdays and Fridays 3:00PM-6:00 PM
Pay: 18-21/hr.
Location: Parlin NJ 08859 (Middlesex County)
Driving on shift: Required
