Pharmacist in Ingram, TX

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to contribute to patient care at a 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX. This contract position offers the chance to work weekdays with well-defined shifts in a supportive hospital environment equipped with Meditech, MedKeeper for IVs, and Omnicell systems.


Location: Kerrville, TX (Contract assignment with possible flexible travel around Ingram area)


Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential shift to second shift (1145 AM - 10 PM, 10-hour shifts) later on
• Flexibility in scheduling highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify medications accurately within hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapies
• Utilize hospital IT systems such as Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell for medication management
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide patient counseling and support when necessary

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar hospital IT systems is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to variable shift schedules and weekend coverage
