• Clinical Shift Schedule: 12-hour MD shifts with 24-hour physician coverage

• Patient Demographics: All Ages

• Patient Volume/Census: 14,700 annual ED visits

• Admissions: As Required

• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 14 ED Beds (101 Hospital Beds)

• Trauma Level: Level IV

• EMR System: Cerner

• Office Equipment Available: Standard ED Equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Hospital Specialty Services

• Support Staff Available: NPPA Coverage 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 120 Days

• Emergency Department Evaluation and Treatment

• Emergency Stabilization and Resuscitation

• Routine Emergency Medicine Procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active Texas Medical License

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Preferred

- Emergency Medicine Board Certification Preferred

• Active Texas DEA (Schedules II–V; Fee-Paid)

• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP

• Experience: Current Emergency Department Practice Required

• Other Qualifications: ACGME/AOA EM/FM/IM Residency; Case Logs (24 Months); CME (2 Years); $1M/$3M Malpractice Coverage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and treat emergency department patients.

• Perform emergency medicine procedures as clinically indicated.

• Document patient care in Cerner.

• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and hospital staff.

• Comply with facility credentialing and clinical policies.
