SAP Basis Administrator

SAP Basis Administrator 12 Month+ Contract Position Summary: Securian Financial is seeking a SAP BASIS Administrator to own the technical support of Financial and accounting platforms. Running a best-in-class technology portfolio, this role plays an integral part in shaping the firm’s processes, standards, best practices, and strategies. The right candidate will have strong system and database administration skills, and analytical skills, be able to maintain positive relationships with business and vendor stakeholders and be responsible for efficient issue resolution and escalation to maintain investment platform functionality. This role is part of a fast-paced agile team relied upon for delivering technology solutions for Securian Financials’ investment management areas. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Monitoring all SAP Architecture. Manage landscape synchronization activities such as system clone and refresh activities. Manage early watch alerts and plan system maintenance activities. Manage the resolution of help desk tickets. Manage application server load balancing, printer troubleshooting and spool administration. Plan and perform disaster recovery testing. Plan and perform high availability testing. Manage overall SAP note implementations, security certificate installations, and drive technical SAP incidents to resolution. Manage the transport requests management system and perform change transport requests movements across the landscape. Document and maintain landscape diagrams and component versions. Manage access control based on SOD. Provide user access and authorizations. Troubleshoot and resolve access and authorization related incidents. Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff. Assist with the delivery of special projects/enhancements and reviewing and improving policies and procedures. Performing Data Translation/Validation to AWS Data Foundation. Requirements: SAP BASIS Administrator Well verse in HANA and NetWeaver technologies. Self-motivated and independent with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for work. Strong technical aptitude, with proven experience with technical help desk and software support activities preferred. Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to define and understand business needs and determine appropriate solutions. Ability to build strong relationships with team members, business users, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors to help navigate through problems, decisions, and related implications. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with experience working both independently, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information and facilitate understanding of system capabilities and limitations to non-technical users.
