Job Title: Pickle Line Production Worker
Job Description

This role involves working on a high-speed food production line, handling packaged products and empty glass bottles, and supporting the smooth flow of operations from loading to palletizing. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, performing physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, and organizing products while following strict cleanliness and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Work on high-speed production lines to support continuous food manufacturing operations.
• Load boxes weighing 15–20 pounds onto the front of the production machine and remove boxes from the end of the line.
• Open boxes containing empty glass bottles and feed them into the production machine to move through the full production process.
• Remove finished product boxes from the line and stack them neatly on pallets for shipment or storage.
• Perform boxing, stacking, packing, palletizing, and wrapping of products to prepare them for distribution.
• Use pallet jacks and other basic warehouse tools safely to move product and materials as needed.
• Collaborate closely with team members on the production line to maintain a steady workflow and meet production targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the shift in accordance with food manufacturing standards.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality guidelines to ensure safe and compliant food production.
• Monitor product and processes and report any quality or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Adapt to working on different lines and equipment as needed based on production demands.
• Stand and move continuously for 10–12 hour shifts while performing repetitive production tasks.

• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, production, or general labor roles is beneficial.
• Background as a production worker or production line worker is an advantage.
• Experience with stacking, packing, palletizing, and using pallet jacks is helpful.
• Comfort working around high-speed machinery and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn different production lines and machinery to support career growth.
• Ability to identify and report potential quality or safety issues to support continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This position is based in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment with active production lines. The facility can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer, and there is no air conditioning or heating, while the nearby machines may generate additional heat. You will work around strong food aromas, including garlic, jalapeños, salsa, and taco sauce, and should be comfortable with these smells. Shifts are typically 10 or 12 hours, often on a first shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., requiring extended periods of standing and physical activity. You will work on a line with approximately 10–20 coworkers, and during peak season there may be 160–200 people in the warehouse, creating a busy and dynamic environment with many colleagues, including speakers of Spanish and Haitian Creole. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses, all of which are provided, while you must supply your own steel-toe boots. Temporary workers are required to wear royal blue shirts, and two shirts are provided at the start. Each employee receives a locker and lock for secure storage of personal belongings, and a break room with microwaves and vending machines is available for meals and breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
