This role will tackle sophisticated intelligence challenges involving advanced threat actors, attack methodologies, geopolitical factors, and long-term campaigns.
You will translate complex intelligence into actionable insights that strengthen security strategy and inform critical business decisions.
The position combines deep technical analysis with strategic thinking, executive communication, and cross-functional influence.
You will build intelligence-sharing relationships across internal security teams and with external partners, industry groups, and government organizations.
As a recognized expert, you will also shape intelligence methodologies, mentor analysts, and help advance the broader capabilities of the threat intelligence function.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional analytical judgment, strong business awareness, and the ability to anticipate threats before they become significant risks.
Accountabilities:
- Apply deep expertise across specialized areas of cyber threat intelligence, including advanced persistent threats, threat actor analysis, intelligence fusion, critical infrastructure threats, and intelligence automation.
- Lead and contribute to strategic cyber threat intelligence objectives, principles, and initiatives that strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
- Investigate complex and unique intelligence challenges by evaluating attacker intent, geopolitical context, campaign objectives, emerging techniques, and potential long-term implications.
- Develop advanced analytical models, frameworks, methodologies, and processes to understand, assess, and anticipate cyber threats.
- Exercise independent judgment in selecting and adapting intelligence methodologies, analytical techniques, and evaluation criteria for novel and highly complex challenges.
- Own critical threat intelligence projects and initiatives whose outcomes may significantly influence security operations and business risk.

- Develop and maintain formal intelligence-sharing networks with executive leaders, security teams, legal, communications, engineering, industry organizations, government agencies, and other relevant partners.
- Provide strategic threat intelligence guidance for broader cybersecurity programs and organizational initiatives, incorporating business context and potential operational impact.
- Produce high-value intelligence deliverables, including strategic assessments, executive briefings, presentations, threat reports, and actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a recognized internal subject matter expert on critical cyber threat intelligence topics and provide authoritative guidance on complex security questions.
- Anticipate emerging threat trends and proactively develop intelligence strategies, priorities, and capabilities to address future risks.
- Drive the adoption of innovative threat intelligence tools, technologies, analytical approaches, and processes that improve team effectiveness and intelligence quality.
- Mentor and provide expert guidance to other intelligence analysts, helping develop analytical capabilities and potentially directing work on specific initiatives.
- Collaborate across the broader cybersecurity organization to ensure intelligence findings are incorporated into security strategy, planning, and decision-making.
- Provide strategic support and guidance during critical incidents and, when required, participate in on-call coverage outside standard business hours.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a strong concentration in cyber threat intelligence or closely related areas such as nation-state threat analysis, advanced persistent threat research, intelligence analysis, or security intelligence within government or large enterprises.
- Deep understanding of the global cyber threat landscape, including sophisticated threat actors, attack vectors, emerging threats, and evolving adversary tactics.
- Extensive experience establishing and leveraging formal intelligence-sharing networks across internal teams, external organizations, industry groups, and government or information-sharing communities.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic thought leader and influence broader cybersecurity initiatives and organizational objectives.
- Proven expertise analyzing malware, network traffic, vulnerabilities, and other technical data to extract meaningful intelligence, techniques, and indicators of compromise.
- Strong experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM systems, and other cybersecurity technologies used to collect, correlate, investigate, and operationalize intelligence.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize complex and ambiguous information into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Strong understanding of intelligence methodologies and security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex analytical models and frameworks for assessing and predicting cyber threats.
- Experience mentoring analysts and providing authoritative technical and analytical guidance.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical intelligence clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and data analysis tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently with significant judgment while also collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong business awareness and the ability to connect cyber intelligence findings to organizational risk, strategic priorities, and operational impact.
- Willingness and ability to provide strategic support during critical incidents and non-traditional working hours when required.
- Relevant professional certifications such as GCTI, GCIA, or GCIH are a plus.
- Ability to work fully remotely from a location in the United States.
Benefits:
- Base salary range of $140,000–$180,000 USD , with eligibility for a bonus.
- Fully remote work arrangement.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) retirement benefits.
- Paid leave and time-off benefits.

- Opportunity to work on sophisticated cybersecurity challenges with significant organizational impact.
- Exposure to senior technical and executive stakeholders and external intelligence-sharing communities.
- Opportunities to provide thought leadership, develop innovative intelligence capabilities, and mentor other security professionals.
