Machinist B-2 - 2nd shift

This position is responsible for setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop. Machines may include numerically controlled machine tools, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers, or balancers. Required Skills Reads, interprets, and understands blueprints and operation sheets. Performs functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts. Might be required to assist less experienced machinists. Must have a working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets. Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. Required Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a 2‑year technical school training preferred. 3 years of hands‑on shop or manufacturing experience required; 4‑6 years of machining experience preferred. Must have a working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets. Completion of technical school training preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen.
