Machine Operator - Laminating (Night Shift)

Laminator Operator I (Machine Operator – Manufacturing) Elk Grove Village, IL Night Shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM (12-hour continental schedule) Job Summary We are hiring a Laminator Operator I to operate laminating and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on machine operation, quality control, and safety compliance while meeting production goals. Key Responsibilities Operate laminating machines and related equipment safely and efficiently Mix adhesives and verify calculations per production specifications Inspect first-piece quality and ensure product meets standards Read and interpret job orders and production instructions Load materials, manage substrates, and monitor machine performance Maintain clean work areas in compliance with SQF/food safety standards Handle hazardous waste using proper procedures and containers Report safety, quality, or equipment issues promptly Support continuous improvement, audits, and team initiatives Qualifications 1+ year of machine operator or manufacturing experience (lamination preferred) Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and perform basic math Experience handling chemicals or adhesives is a plus Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment Strong attention to safety, quality, and attendance Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay + shift differential Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance and wellness programs Life, disability, and supplemental insurance options Work Schedule 12-hour rotating continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next) Off every other weekend Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics.
