School Nurse

Under the supervision of the School Nurse perform a wide variety of nursing duties including but not limited to specialized health care procedures and monitoring of issues related to diabetes. Under the direction of the teacher in the classroom may assist in the instruction and care of disabled students including management of student behavior, record keeping, instructional assistance, medical care, classroom organization and interaction with students, support staff, parents and agencies.

Requires equivalent of the completion of graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Training Program. Requires minimum of one year related experience and four years of home health nursing in pediatrics or equivalent experiences desired.
