Position: Project Engineer - Water Location: Raleigh, NC Job Id: 6556 # of Openings: 1 Garver is seeking a Project Engineer in Raleigh, NC to join our Water team. The Project Engineer will be led by a Project Manager on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians focused on the production of deliverables including but not limited to reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details and specifications. The Project Engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.This position will be responsible for performing design for a variety of projects, such as:Water distribution including pumping and storageSewer collection, pumping and lift stationsCoordination with State and Regulatory AgenciesThe Garver Water Team prides itself on being innovative and progressive while preserving a rich tradition of quality design. Reporting will include project status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent completes, progress reports, etc.Contribute to preparation and execution of Project Management Plans and Quality Control PlansSupport internal and external project workshopsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or biological engineering from an ABET accredited programRegistered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to become registered within six months of start of employmentTwo or more years of previous experience related to design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and treatment systemsStrong communications skillsAbility to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and OutlookPreferred Skills:Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to be licensed within 6 months.Construction management experience of municipal water/wastewater projectsMaster’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited programAutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS experienceGrow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
