Residential HVAC InstallerRichard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc. Tri-Valley Area, CA - Sunol, Hayward, Livermore, Alamo, Pleasanton, Dublin & Surrounding Communities $30.00-$35.00 per hour | Full-TimeRichard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc. is looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Installation Technician to join our field team.For more than 25 years, our family-owned company has provided heating and cooling services throughout the Tri-Valley area. Our reputation has been built through quality workmanship, dependable service, and long-term relationships with our customers.We're looking for an experienced installer who is comfortable taking ownership of residential replacement and installation projects from equipment removal through final start-up.Compensation & Benefits$30.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance 100% employer-paid for the employee,401(k) with company match up to 4%,7 paid holidays,Paid sick leave earned at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked,Paid vacation beginning with 1 week during the first year,Vacation increases with tenure, up to 4 weeks,Full-time employment with an established local HVAC contractorBenefits are subject to current company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Your RoleComplete residential HVAC equipment replacements and new system installationsInstall air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, and related componentsRemove existing equipment and properly prepare areas for replacement systemsInstall and modify refrigerant piping, condensate drains, gas piping, and electrical connectionsComplete ductwork modifications and installation when requiredMeasure, fabricate, and fit sheet metal components for individual projectsInterpret equipment specifications, mechanical drawings, schematics, and installation plansProperly evacuate and charge refrigeration systemsPerform equipment start-ups and commissioningVerify airflow, temperatures, electrical operation, and overall system performanceDiagnose and correct installation-related problemsEnsure completed projects meet manufacturer specifications and applicable building codesMaintain clean and professional work areas inside customers' homesProtect customer property throughout the installation processTrack equipment, materials, and job information accuratelyComplete required project documentation using ServiceTitanExperience & Qualifications2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experienceStrong knowledge of complete residential system changeouts and installationsAbility to perform installation work with limited supervisionExperience with ductwork installation and modificationUnderstanding of refrigeration piping and proper refrigerant practicesAbility to read wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and field troubleshooting abilityPlumbing, welding, and sheet metal fabrication experience is a plusEPA Type II or Universal Certification preferredServiceTitan experience is helpfulStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipProfessional communication skills when working in customers' homesValid California driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to safely lift, carry, and position HVAC equipment and materialsWhy Richard's?You'll be joining an established local company rather than a large corporate operation.
