System Administrator Tier 2.5 (MSP / Hybrid WFH)

Work Model: Hybrid work from home Base Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 + performance based bonus Overview We are hiring a System Administrator Tier 2.5 to support small and mid sized business clients in a Managed Services Provider environment. This role is ideal for an MSP technician who is beyond standard help desk support and ready to take on more advanced systems, networking, cloud, and project work. You will handle escalated support issues, assist with infrastructure projects, support multiple client environments, and work closely with senior engineers. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants hybrid WFH flexibility, exposure to deeper technical work, and a clear path toward a true Level 3 or Senior Systems Administrator role. Responsibilities Resolve escalated technical issues involving servers, networks, cloud platforms, security tools, applications, and end user environments Support Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper V, backups, patching, and disaster recovery solutions Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, wireless, connectivity, and cybersecurity related issues Assist with IT projects including cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, software deployments, network improvements, and client technology rollouts Monitor client environments through RMM tools and take proactive steps to improve performance, uptime, and security Work directly with clients to explain technical issues, provide updates, and recommend practical solutions Maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, configurations, network notes, project details, and client environment records Escalate advanced issues to senior engineers with clear notes, troubleshooting steps, and technical context Provide guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians when needed Participate in an on call rotation for critical after hours support Requirements 4+ years of IT support or systems administration experience Recent MSP experience supporting multiple client environments is required Strong Windows Server administration and desktop support experience Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Hyper V, backups, patching, or disaster recovery tools Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and general network troubleshooting Experience with RMM, PSA, ticketing, and documentation tools such as NinjaRMM, Autotask, ServiceNow, Zendesk, IT Glue, or Hudu Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and client service skills Ability to manage escalations, prioritize tickets, and work independently in a fast moving MSP environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local client visits Preferred Experience CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CCNA, or similar certifications Experience supporting SMB clients across cloud, network, security, and infrastructure environments Exposure to project work involving migrations, upgrades, deployments, or network improvements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field $90,000 to $100,000 base salary Performance based bonus Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Paid training opportunities Hybrid work schedule Free snacks and food in office Clear opportunity for advancement into senior technical roles #J-18808-Ljbffr Bowman Williams
