Food Service Specialist - IDEA Kyle (Immediate Opening)

Role Mission The Food Service Specialist ensures that appropriate quantities of food are prepared, portioned, and served to IDEA students. Other responsibilities include cutting and chopping fruits and vegetables, following recipes, adhering to established kitchen processes, monitoring students during meal periods for appropriate behavior and consumption of fresh produce, preventing food sharing, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, washing dishes, and disposing of trash. Responsibilities Prepare, portion, and serve food to students. Cut and chop fruits and vegetables as required. Follow recipes and established kitchen processes. Monitor students during meal periods for appropriate behavior and food consumption. Prevent sharing of food among students. Clean and maintain kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, washing dishes, and disposing of trash. Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely. Use basic math for portioning and inventory tasks. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate ranging between $15.90 (0 years of experience) and $18.29. Eligible for performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.
