Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses, including trauma, stroke, cardiac events, and orthopedic injuries
• Perform and manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressor administration
• Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias using continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy as indicated
• Conduct triage and implement appropriate isolation precautions in accordance with facility protocols
• Float within skillset to other areas of the unit as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Single State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications (valid NIHSS must be included at submission)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Clinical experience with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialized equipment including Bair Hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Background in pediatric emergency care, including pediatric spinal cord injury management
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
