Sleep Diagnostic Center TechnologistBring your expertise in sleep medicine to our team by delivering comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and educating patients with suspected sleep conditions under the guidance of a physician—helping patients achieve better sleep and improved overall health.Key Position Details:.6 FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period)12 hour permanent night shiftNo weekend rotationJob Description:Conducts the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in patients. Responsible for assessments, diagnosis, treatments and education of patients with suspected sleep disorders under the direction of a physician.Polysomnographic testing, scoring and follow upApplies electrodes, monitors accordingly, ensures artifact free recordings and documents values for any clinical event during testing.Implements and titrates appropriate therapy per lab protocol.Scores Polysomnograms, downloads/stores data and generates reports prior to follow up appointment.Patient education and record managementEducate patient on sleep disorders, testing procedures and operation of sleep disorder devices.Verify medical order/protocol, complete all technical paperwork.Complete appropriate paperwork and billing procedures.Preferred Qualifications:Vocational or Technical Training in a polysomnography program with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or, equivalent experience with documented proficiency in all required competencies of a Polysomnographic Technologist or, meets Board Registered Polysomnographic (BRPT) standards for a sleep technologist0 to 2 years of polysomnography experience0 to 2 years of strong knowledge of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) devices0 to 2 years of assessing patients, apply critical thinking and determine appropriate interventionsLicenses/Certifications:Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BPRT) or credentialed with Sleep Disorders Specialty from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) upon hire requiredCurrent license in allied health profession preferred if applicablePhysical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range: $33.20 to $47.57 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
