Forklift Operator

Location: Loudon, TN – Onsite
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
On-Call: Occasional support outside normal hours for emergencies, including chemical spills

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to support material handling, waste management, and environmental activities in a manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on, physically active role requiring someone who can safely operate a forklift/clamp truck, work independently, and follow manufacturing safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move materials, waste, barrels, and pallets
• Support waste management and 5S housekeeping
• Organize storage sheds and material areas
• Handle pallet recycling and general material movement
• Perform outdoor work as needed
• Use basic computer systems for:
• • Printing SKU labels
  • Reviewing SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
  • Completing Excel reports
  • Tracking materials and waste
• Follow all manufacturing and safety procedures
• Assist with chemical spill emergencies when needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of forklift/clamp truck experience
• Manufacturing experience required
• Basic computer skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable working independently and managing daily tasks
• Familiar with manufacturing safety protocols
• Comfortable with extended physical labor
• Able to work occasional on-call hours for emergencies
• Comfortable handling or being exposed to hazardous waste and chemicals

Training

Training will be provided on company computer systems and processes.

The role will also include RCRA/DOT hazardous waste training , including 8-hour certification classes.

Safety Equipment

Must provide your own steel-toed shoes.
