Job Title: RN Rapid Response Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) - CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback - Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: The role requires providing rapid response nursing care in an emergency department setting. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to patient experience through respectful behavior and effective communication. AIDET and patient update practices are vital to ensuring a positive experience for each patient. Staff will work with a patient ratio of 4:1 typically, and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. The unit supports a collaborative environment, with techs available for assistance in various capacities. Candidates should have experience in a high-volume emergency department, ideally in a level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center. Advanced nursing skills and familiarity with specific procedures performed in the unit are preferable. A commitment to teamwork and serving a diverse patient population is essential. Candidates are expected to adhere to the unit's guidelines and policies regarding attendance and conduct.
