Central Specialty Pet, a division of Central Garden & Pet, is looking for a driven and curious Summer 2027 eCommerce Intern to join our team in Franklin, WI (metro-Milwaukee) . This paid, 10-week summer internship the opportunity to support several of our leading pet brands, including  Aqueon, C&S, Kaytee, and Zilla .

As an eCommerce Intern, you’ll work on real business challenges that directly impact how we compete, market, and sell across online marketplaces. You’ll gain hands-on experience in competitive intelligence, eCommerce strategy, digital marketing, and conversion optimization , while partnering with cross-functional teams to turn data and insights into actionable recommendations that drive growth.

What can you expect to get out of this internship:

• Build real-world eCommerce skills across marketplace strategy, digital marketing, analytics and consumer behavior.
• Turn data and insights into recommendations that can influence pricing, marketing, product content and sales.

• Build exposure to cross-functional teams including eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Digital & Creative Services, Sales, Finance and R&D , with opportunities for learning sessions and collaborative training.

  Example projects as a Summer eCommerce Intern:

• Competitor Analysis: Compare competitor pricing, assortment, promotions, and media strategies to uncover opportunities across marketplaces - spotting market trends and opportunities.
• A/B Testing: Test product page elements - including images, descriptions, CTAs and promotional pricing to identify what drives higher conversion.
• eCommerce Growth: Use data and consumer insights to recommend ways to improve digital shopping experience and drive sales.

• Building analyses, dashboards and presentations to bring insights to life - sharing them with cross-functional teams and leaders.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Marketing, eCommerce, Business or a related field, with a strong academic record
• Rising Junior or Senior status preferred
• Demonstrated interest in eCommerce marketing, strategy, consumer insights, digital marketing or analytics
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with curiosity about market trends and consumer behavior
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
• Proven leadership, initiative, and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
• Creative, resourceful, and motivated self-starter with a strong drive for learning and professional growth
