How you'll contribute

A Central Sterile Technician who excels in this role:

• Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
• Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
• Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.
• Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
• Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.

What we're looking for Central Sterile Technician:

• Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
• Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license in State of Michigan
• Variable start times between 6am and 10am
• On call required 1 weekend per month & 2 holidays per year.
