A well-established, employee-focused engineering consulting firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Structural Project Manager to lead complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities

- Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned structural engineering projects, including larger and more complex work.
- Lead structural design efforts and oversee production of accurate, code-compliant construction documents.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables in coordination with internal project managers and external stakeholders.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering work, calculations, drawings, and documentation.
- Mentor and guide engineers through design, production, technical problem-solving, and professional development.
- Support business development through structural fee proposals, client relationship management, networking, and market outreach.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $110,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and licensure status.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures.
- 10+ years of structural engineering design and project management experience.
- Professional Engineer license required, or active EIT/EI with substantial structural design experience and demonstrated readiness to sit for the PE exam.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, schedules, and deliverables.
- Strong experience with construction document production and structural QA/QC review.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as Revit, RAM Structural System, and RISA.
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, and IBC.
- Excellent communication, leadership, client service, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, contractors, clients, stakeholders, and internal engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Structural Engineer license.
- Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related structural engineering discipline.
- Experience with civic, education, healthcare, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated business development experience, including preparing fee proposals and cultivating client relationships.
- Interest in long-term leadership of a structural engineering department.
