Restaurant Assistant General Manager - Yonkers, NY
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a busy fast-casual restaurant in Yonkers, NY. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to assist in managing a high-performing team. Responsibilities:- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring a consistent and excellent guest experience.
- Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver top-quality service and maintain company standards.
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, and staffing to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and vendor relations.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Help track financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support operational policies, procedures, and best practices across the restaurant.
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience in fast-casual or high-volume environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Hands-on management style with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations software.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
