About the Position

Adult Nurse Practitioner daytime hospitalist coverage needed in Pennsylvania with a true 7 on, 7 off day schedule and no call. Inpatient adult service with on site physician support and no ICU coverage required.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient adult hospitalist service
• On site hospitalist physicians, ER, and anesthesia support
• No ICU coverage required, supported by an on site ICU APP
• Service includes geriatric fracture admissions over age 65 and admissions for multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, urology, and hem onc

Schedule

• Days only, 7a to 7p
• 7 on, 7 off rotation
• No call required
• Coverage can be structured with 1 full time NP or shared across 1 to 3 locum NPs

Cases and Procedures

• No procedures required
• Shared admissions with an on site physician, average 8 to 12 from 7p to 7a
• Floor call coverage planned to expand to 20 to 40 medical patients
• Codes are run by residents, with ICU APP and hospitalist APP support alongside the nocturnist

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner
• Active Pennsylvania license required at time of presentation, will not wait for license
• BLS and DEA required
