Tax Advisor – Block Advisors Joining Block Advisors as a Tax Advisor means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax and business services needs year‑round. You’ll have the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful. Responsibilities Build year‑round client relationships Provide tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning year‑round Conduct tax interviews face‑to‑face and through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email) Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services Provide clients with IRS support (including tax notice services and audit representation) Grow your tax expertise and maintain professional certifications Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent Meet continuing education requirements and all IRS and applicable state requirements Qualifications 5+ years of tax experience Experience completing individual tax returns and business tax returns CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred) Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and tax audit support Sales and/or marketing experience (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Strong communication skills, both in person and virtually Comfort working with virtual tools – video conferencing and chat Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment Benefits Employee Assistance Program with Health Advocate Well‑being program, BetterYou, to help you build healthy habits Neurodiversity and caregiver support available to you and your family Various discounts on everyday items and services Medical coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plan and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (subject to additional eligibility requirements) Community You Will Join At H&R Block, we remain committed to building a Connected Culture—one in which trust, care, and connections are how we work together as we continue to create an environment where everyone feels safe to bring their authentic self to work every day and feels like they belong as part of a larger team.
