Civil Pros, LLC is seeking an experienced Asphalt & Civil Estimator to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional with experience estimating asphalt paving, grading, underground utilities, and commercial site development projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate estimates for asphalt paving and civil construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Estimate labor, equipment, material, trucking, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare bid proposals and pricing summaries.
• Coordinate with project managers before and after project award.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
• Assist with change orders and project cost updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of estimating experience in asphalt paving, site work, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of:
• • Asphalt paving
  • Site grading
  • Earthwork
  • Storm drainage
  • Underground utilities
  • Erosion control
  • Concrete and site improvements
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Experience with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bid2Win, AGTEK, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar software is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Commercial site development estimating
• DOT and municipal project experience
• Knowledge of production rates and equipment costs
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
