Data Center Cable Technician

Job Description We are seeking Data Center Installation Technicians to support structured cabling and fiber infrastructure projects in a fast-paced data center environment. This role is ideal for individuals with construction, low-voltage, or data center experience who are looking to grow their careers in the technology infrastructure industry. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a willingness to learn from experienced technicians. What You'll Do - Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to industry standards - Perform RJ45 terminations, patch panel terminations, and punch-downs - Install and support wireless access points (WAPs) and related infrastructure - Assist with fiber optic cable routing, dressing, and basic handling - Support cable testing using Fluke, EXFO, and other testing equipment - Follow project drawings, installation standards, and customer requirements - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Work alongside senior technicians to complete installations on schedule What You Bring - 1-3 years of experience in construction, low-voltage, structured cabling, or data center environments - Experience with cable pulling, terminations, and punch-downs - Familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling systems - Ability to use hand tools and work comfortably in a construction environment - Reliable transportation and commitment to a Monday-Saturday work schedule - Strong attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn - Ability to pass required background and drug screenings Nice to Have - Experience working with ISP fiber and copper networks - Fiber optic cabling experience - Data center experience - Experience using Fluke or EXFO testing equipment - Wireless access point installation experience Why Apply? - Opportunity to work in the rapidly growing data center industry supporting AI and next-generation technology infrastructure - Gain hands-on experience with fiber optics, structured cabling, and wireless technologies - Learn from experienced technicians while building valuable technical skills - Strong opportunities for career growth within a stable and expanding organization - Consistent project work with a company focused on developing and supporting its employees - Be part of building the critical infrastructure that powers today's digital world Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint George, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
