Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual patient needs Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care Conduct research to advance knowledge in pediatric psychology Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies Offer consultation services to schools and community organizations Supervise and mentor psychology interns and trainees Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Experience with psychological assessment tools specific to children Proficiency in psychological assessment and diagnostic techniques Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards Regular and prompt attendance Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required Related duties as assigned Additional Information Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits. Qualifications PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited institution Required Experience as a psychologist in a pediatric setting Preferred Licensed Psychologist in the State of Alabama Required Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
