Freelance Medical Interpreter
CETRA Language Solutions
We are seeking experienced freelance interpreters in the Philadelphia area to support medical interpretation assignments between English and the following languages:

Vietnamese English - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Bengali English
What you'll do
- p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Provide accurate, complete, and impartial interpretation between patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Interpret medical information clearly while preserving meaning, tone, and intent. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Follow professional standards for confidentiality, ethics, and cultural sensitivity. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally dressed for scheduled assignments. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Maintain appropriate boundaries and comply with all client-site and healthcare privacy requirements.

Professional fluency in English and at least one of the following: Spanish, Vietnamese, or Bengali. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Prior medical interpreting experience required. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare communication. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Demonstrated ability to interpret accurately in high-pressure or sensitive situations. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Reliable transportation and availability for assignments throughout the Philadelphia area.

Completion of a minimum 40-hour medical interpreter training program is a plus. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Experience interpreting in hospitals, emergency departments, specialty clinics, behavioral health, or other medical settings. - p]:pt-0 [&> p]:mb-2 [&> p]:my-0">
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality standards.
