Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
Conducts laboratory testing on blood, body fluids, and tissues to assist in diagnosing and monitoring diseases and conditions. Provides accurate and timely lab results for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests following standardized procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation such as Antibody IDs, Emergency blood banking systems, and the Ortho Vitros 5600.
• Ensure testing accuracy by adhering to CLIA and CAP guidelines and quality control protocols.
• Document and report all test results accurately in the laboratory information system.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to interpret findings and assist in clinical decision-making.
• Maintain proper safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards within the laboratory environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current certification as an ASCP, AMT, or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.
• Have experience with Epic LIS, Antibody IDs, Emergency blood banking, or the Ortho Vitros 5600.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory testing and instrumentation.
• Possess strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
