As a member of the FUCHS Smart Services team, you will be part of an exciting new community focused on providing our customers with world-class lubrication solutions that help push our customers forward.The Operations Manager plays a vital role in driving the execution of FUCHS digital and service solutions under the Smart Services product line in the US. Working closely with FUCHS’ Sales and Technical colleagues, to understand our customers' needs to facilitate profitable service solutions in your respective territory. This position is based at our corporate office in Harvey, IL, and reports to the Director of Smart Services.The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Smart Services Managers and their respective territories in exceeding our customer expectations through our Smart Services offering, while also ensuring profitable account performance is being maintained as we accelerate our growth. We are looking for someone who will bring the energy, enthusiasm, and results-focused approach necessary to meet our aggressive targets.Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Overall performance management of the US Smart Services Operations team, including customer reporting and communication to ensure service performance meets or exceeds expectationsEnsure compliance with Smart Services operational KPIs, divisional Smart Goals, and service delivery standardsDay-to-day leadership and coaching of Service Managers, fostering accountability and continuous improvementOversee the development of new business opportunities with new and existing customers in collaboration with Service Managers and Sales team membersLead the hiring, onboarding, and training of Service Managers and Supervisors, ensuring alignment with FUCHS values and service excellenceDrive operational efficiency through process standardization, resource optimization, and technology enablementSupport the implementation of digital tools and platforms to enhance service visibility, reporting, and customer engagementConduct regular performance reviews and territory audits to ensure consistent service quality and profitabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated customer issues and implement corrective actionsMeet and exceed fiscal financial targets, including territory-level profitability and cost controlCultivate a high-performance culture that encourages team member development, retention, and succession planningQualifications we are looking for:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline3–5 years of managerial experience in operations, field services, or industrial service deliveryStrong technical knowledge of industrial process operations (e.g., wastewater treatment, wash systems, lubricants & lubrication)Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple territoriesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisionsProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or service management platforms is a plusAbility to travel approximately 50% across the US territoriesDemonstrated success in managing KPIs, budgets, and operational targets in a fast-paced environmentThese are your benefits:FUCHS offers a challenging and rewarding working environment where employees are encouraged to develop and grow as professionals.
