PILATES ADDICTION – PILATES EDUCATOR / INSTRUCTOR

Location: Pilates Addiction – University Town Center (UTC), University Park, FL
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Studio Manager / Lead Educator
Compensation: $30–$50+ per class/hour, based on experience, training level, performance, and applicable educator tier

Pilates Addiction is a results-driven boutique fitness brand delivering a transformative movement experience on the Aurum , our proprietary, multi-functional Pilates apparatus found exclusively in Pilates Addiction studios.

We believe movement should be intelligent, intentional, challenging, and empowering. Our Educators do more than lead workouts—they create an experience that helps clients build strength, improve movement, gain confidence, and continue progressing toward their goals.

As we prepare to open our University Town Center (UTC) studio, we are building a founding team of energetic, professional, and community-minded Educators who want to grow with us and help establish an exceptional studio culture from day one.

Position Summary

The Pilates Addiction Educator is responsible for delivering safe, biomechanically informed, engaging, and motivating group classes using the Aurum.

Educators are expected to provide clear instruction, intentional programming, appropriate modifications and progressions, and an exceptional client experience while maintaining Pilates Addiction's training, safety, and brand standards.

We are looking for Educators who combine strong movement knowledge with personality, professionalism, and a genuine ability to connect with people.

Key Responsibilities

Class Experience & Instruction

• Deliver high-quality Pilates Addiction group classes on the Aurum in accordance with brand programming, training, and safety standards.
• Provide clear, confident, and motivational cueing grounded in functional anatomy, biomechanics, and movement mechanics.
• Demonstrate exercises safely and effectively when appropriate.
• Provide modifications and progressions for different fitness levels, abilities, physical needs, and client goals.
• Create classes that are challenging, intentional, engaging, and consistent with the Pilates Addiction experience.
• Maintain awareness of clients throughout class and provide appropriate coaching and corrections.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment where clients feel supported, challenged, and successful.

Client Experience & Community

• Build genuine relationships with members and help create a strong sense of community within the studio.
• Welcome clients before class and engage with them following class.
• Learn members' names, goals, and preferences whenever possible.
• Encourage consistency, celebrate client progress, and help members remain engaged in their Pilates journey.
• Support new clients as they become comfortable with the Aurum and the Pilates Addiction class experience.
• Help create the type of experience that encourages repeat visits, referrals, membership retention, and long-term client relationships.

Training & Professional Development

• Successfully complete and maintain all required Pilates Addiction Educator training and certifications.
• Participate in continuing education, workshops, scheduled team meetings, and studio training.
• Remain receptive to coaching, evaluation, and feedback from studio leadership.
• Continuously develop knowledge of Pilates, anatomy, biomechanics, cueing, and movement.
• Attend at least one class per month taught by another Pilates Addiction Educator, at no charge, to promote team cohesion, learning, and instructional consistency.

Studio Operations & Professionalism

• Arrive on time and fully prepared for all scheduled classes.
• Ensure the studio and equipment are ready before each class, including proper Aurum setup and safety checks.
• Reset and organize equipment following classes.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming studio environment.
• Communicate professionally with members, fellow Educators, management, and other team members.
• Maintain dependable attendance and provide appropriate notice regarding schedule changes according to studio policy.
• Support studio events, member engagement initiatives, and community-building activities when appropriate.
• Uphold Pilates Addiction's brand, safety, cleanliness, and client-service standards at all times.

Qualifications

Required

• Pilates Instructor Certification or recognized movement/fitness certification applicable to the position.
• Successful completion of, or willingness to complete, the Pilates Addiction Educator Training Program.
• Understanding of Pilates fundamentals, anatomy, biomechanics, and safe movement principles.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to confidently lead and motivate a group.
• Ability to receive and apply coaching and feedback.
• Professional, dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Genuine passion for helping people improve their health, strength, movement, and confidence.

Preferred

• One or more years of Pilates, group fitness, personal training, or movement instruction experience.
• Previous group exercise instruction experience.
• Experience working in boutique fitness or a client-focused wellness environment.
• Strong ability to build relationships and create an engaging group experience.
• Comfortable supporting client retention, referrals, and membership growth through exceptional service and authentic relationship building.

Experienced instructors are encouraged to apply, but we also value talented movement professionals who demonstrate exceptional communication skills, coachability, energy, and the ability to connect with clients.

Physical Requirements

Educators must be able to perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position, including:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Bending, kneeling, reaching, and moving around the studio.
• Adjusting and resetting Pilates equipment.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Safely demonstrating exercises and movement patterns as appropriate.
