Pediatric MRI Technologist

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. Candidates must possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. The ideal candidate will know how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. They should be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. Coordination with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results is essential. Candidates must be comfortable scanning patients ranging from neonates to age 18. Providing age-appropriate care is a must. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods. Key duties include maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility. Coordination with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging is vital. Preparation of patients for scans and explaining procedures to ease anxiety is necessary. Inserting IVs when necessary for tests is expected, although IV placement is not conducted in this role. Documentation of all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality is required. Patient care tasks as needed will be part of the responsibilities. Adherence to all MRI safety policies and guidelines is essential. Candidates should be capable of adjusting scanning parameters for various patient ages. Proper screening and preparation of the patient for scanning is a fundamental task. Identification of contraindications for safe scanning is crucial. Independently determining when to stop a scan due to motion and the need for sedation/anesthesia is necessary.
