Medical Assistant – Healthcare Center
Location: Tavares, FL 32778
Contract: 11 Weeks
Shift: Day | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $20–$24/hr
Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required
EMR experience required
Front-office and back-office experience required
EKG experience required
POC testing experience required
Scheduling and patient rooming experience required
Strong computer and communication skills
BLS or CPR required; may start pending approval
DOT certification required
Greet and room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
Take and document vital signs.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.
Administer vaccines as directed.
Perform EKGs and POC testing.
Schedule appointments and answer phone calls.
Provide front-office and back-office support.
Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.
Provide clinical support to healthcare providers.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Support health education and outreach activities.
Patient population: Ages 2+
Onsite dispensing: Yes
Occupational Health: Yes
Workers' Compensation: Yes
Women's Health experience: May be required for temporary/locum coverage
Staffing: 2 Providers, 2 MAs, 1 Behavioral Health Provider
