ID: 78243432 Shift: 12H Nights 12hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Description: Unit Sol prescreensneed 2 sup refs from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years workedCandidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYS EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH RELIAS IS REQUIRED ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. IT S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET 2 ATTEMPTS (TEST A SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST, TEST B SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE). A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS REQUIRED. **We can accept the Relias basic Dys exam within the last 12mo if the traveler has previously taken** If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and Sac***Experience: Level II Trauma experience is not required, but a current TNCC license is mandatory. At least two years of experience working in an emergency department is required***- Unit: ED- # beds: 30, 1 trauma bay w/ 2 beds- Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC - Ratios: 1:4'- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.- Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Holidays: Rotate in with core staff- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.- Vents: Yes- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist- IV Team: No- RT 24/7: Yes- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves \"available\" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available.- Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.- Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Primary trauma center for the area. Standard ED patients. Psych holds with security if agitated. Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level:2 Care Shift Nights, EOW, First to Float Required , BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC c Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
