Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New Mexico Special Education teaching license

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students, ensuring all services and supports are provided in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
• Employ evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations to address diverse learning profiles
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in regular IEP meetings and conferences
• Provide direct instruction and support in both academic and functional life skill areas
