Overview Transform patient care as a PRN Nocturnist Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider in the East Bay of California at Sutter Delta Medical Center. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours. Local Team Collaboration Become part of a cohesive team at Sutter Delta Medical Center Work alongside a tele-ICU Intensivist to provide care for the ICU patients at night, with additional support from an Intensivist on call Qualifications Active Physician Assistant certification. Active California license preferred. Ability to manage a high volume of complex cases, including procedures such as intubations, central lines, arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, temporary hemodialysis catheter placement, mechanical ventilation management, and lumbar puncture. Prior ICU experience as an acute care trained nurse practitioner — no new graduates. Authorization to work in the United States. Scheduling 12-hour, onsite day coverage for the Intensivist, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. 12-hour, onsite night coverage for the Advanced Practice Provider, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., in collaboration with tele-ICU and the on-call Intensivist at night. We are seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to assist with working occasional shifts as needed. We will work with your schedule availability to accommodate. Key Responsibilities Provide care to patients in the 12-bed medical/surgical ICU. Independently assess, examine, and provide care to critically ill patients, including procedures. Present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU; work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team; commit to excellence in clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities to serve our patients first.
