Guided by our values of safety, loyalty, integrity and respect, we are committed to delivering meaningful value for shareholders, customers, employees and the communities where we operate.Shift Schedule1st Shift: M-F 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM2nd Shift: Normally: M-F 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM Temporarily through year-end: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPayrate: $27.00–$35.00/hour depending on ExperienceAs Maintenance Mechanic you will:Ensure production machinery is functioning correctly and efficientlyPerform preventative maintenance on all machineryTroubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systemsHave a working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, AC/DC motors and controlsAbility to read and understand blueprintsAssemble, install and fabricate equipment as needed (welding will be required)Ability to work with steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drivesAbility to assist support staff to ensure inventory counts are accurateAbility to submit timely and accurate paperworkParticipation in Safety Reviews, Safety Training, and Safety Audits under the direction of plant managementWillingness to participate in a maintenance training program that is provided and requiredMust provide own tools (specialty tools provided by the Company)What you need to succeed:Must have 2-3 years of successful electrical troubleshooting and repair experience, and be able to operate small machinery (lathe, drill press, welding equipment)Must have at least one full year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experienceAble to commence and continue specific courses of action with urgencyMaintain positive relationships with plant management, supervisors, office, and operational employeesExcellent communicationInterpersonal, problem solving, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift/push/pull 50-100 pounds multiple times throughout the dayMust be willing to work all shifts as business needs fluctuateWillingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas of maintenanceProven experience demonstrating dependability and timeliness with assignments, tasks, and responsibilitiesHistory of excellent attendance is a mustExcellent Computer Skills: Microsoft Office SuiteEducation:Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is requiredAn associate's degree in electrical field is preferred, but not requiredWhat we offer:Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability and excellenceComprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunitiesAn attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies and potentialA career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work.WestRock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
