Job Description:

Unit is a post-surgical unit and the volume is heavy over mid-week. Candidate MUST be able to work shifts needed; excessive RTO will not be approved or considered.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care on a 22-bed post-surgical unit.
• Manage patients with a 1:5 ratio, supported by ancillary staff.
• Operate equipment such as PCA pump, Ice machine, Welch Allyn Vital sign machine, Tele box, and IV pump.
• Document patient information using Meditech EMR.
• Float within MCHS to Tele; occasionally float to MCD.

Requirements:

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Medsurg experience mandatory.
• Preferred candidates with Ortho and PCU experience.
