The individual needs to follow SDLC methodology and have worked on both development and production support. This is a 24/7 position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Database administrators are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Oracle databaseDuties include performing backups, recoveries, installations, and securityMust have extensive knowledge about database performance tuningMust have experience with Oracle RACDatabase monitoring and UNIX operating system configurationsAssist in the logical and physical database design and providing general support to application teamEducation and Experience:7+ years as Oracle Development and Production DBA3+ years of Oracle RAC, preferably within UNIX environmentExperience with middleware, such as WebLogic, and web servers a plusExperience with data replication tool, such as Oracle GoldenGate, a plusQualified candidates must have excellent communication skillsOrganizational and documentation skills and be able to interface with management and IT personnel and work effectively on a team and individually"Oracle Exadata" experience a plusKnowledge on Oracle OID Security, LDAP and User Management Systems, a plusBS / BA degree preferredRequired Skills:Solid communication and team skillsTechnology competency in either web or legacy-based applicationsExperience in leading business application development projectsEffective in translating business requirements in technical designs, specsPassion for technology driving business growthBusiness and IT focusedKnowledge of software development life cycle methodologiesDesire to contribute to a fast paced, growth-oriented business unitQualificationsOracle Database Administrator will support our client's Business Unit in the design, creation, tuning, and maintenance of databases and its supporting applications.
