Abby's Bagels & Coffee Lower Greenville, Dallas is opening a new store and looking for people who love great food, fast-paced work, and taking care of others. We make bagels from scratch, serve coffee all day. We are a neighborhood spot that always feels welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, shape, proof, boil, bake, and finish bagels according to Abby’s Bagels recipes and standards

• Produce baked goods in required quantities while maintaining quality, freshness, and presentation

• Follow daily production schedules and communicate shortages or product issues promptly

• Measure ingredients accurately and maintain recipe consistency

• Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, slicers, and other bakery equipment safely

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery workspace

• Follow food-safety, temperature-control, labeling, storage, and sanitation procedures

• Receive, stock, rotate, and monitor bakery ingredients and supplies

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the workspace for the next shift

• Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen team members during busy service periods

• Help develop and test seasonal flavors or specialty baked items as needed

Qualifications

• Previous bakery, bagel, bread, pastry, kitchen, or food-production experience preferred

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts

• Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work safely around hot equipment

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and cleanliness

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to follow recipes, production procedures, and food-safety requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment

• Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain one, preferred

Schedule and Compensation

This role may be full-time or part-time, with shifts typically beginning in the early morning. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
