Insurance Inspector (Independent Contractor) Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) provides time-sensitive insurance surveys to our customers. MIB, Inc. is looking for independent 1099 contractors to perform insurance underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Must be self‑motivated. Microsoft Word is required. Experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Conduct onsite underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Assess conditions and identify hazards that may lead to claims activity. Gather data to assist insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings. Qualifications Capable of meeting and conversing with people in the community. Reliable, organized, and self‑motivated. Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods. Previous inspection experience is helpful. Own a PC, internet access, and digital camera. Compensation Compensation is on a per‑report basis. Work volume may be part‑time or full‑time based on the business volume in a defined territory. Service Area Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Washington DC. #J-18808-Ljbffr Underwriter Services Association
