SAP FI/CO Consultant

Duration: 12 months

Location: Fully remote. Client is in Bartlesville, OK

Apex Systems is working with a large oil and gas energy client to find an SAP FI/CO Consultant who will support the client’s SAP ECC FI/CO environment while they implement SAP Financials for S/4 HANA. This resource will not be working within the S/4 environment, though.

This resource will provide functional support across all SAP FI/CO modules for the current ECC implementation. They will handle support tickets and do some minor hands-on configuration while educating end users on best practices for system usage.

Primary Functions:

• Provide business solutions and support for the Global SAP system with a focus on the FI and CO modules
• Assist in the support of other financial modules, including but not limited to Project Systems (PS) and Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
• End User support
• Create functional specifications for development requirements
• Maintain support team documentation
• System configuration
• Functional integration testing

Critical Skills:

• Experience with FI/CO Master data elements such as Company Codes, Chart of Accounts, Number Ranges, Intercompany Setup, Cost and Profit Center, and Internal Orders
• Experience with document posting, clearing, and resetting
• Month end closing experience that includes working with assessment and distribution cycles
• Knowledge of the standard SAP FI/CO reports and how to execute and extract data from them
• Experience working with end-users to document business requirements and translating those requirements into system, application, and process design
• Customer focused and able to effectively communicate with a variety of groups
• Analyze issues and understands their business impact
• Demonstrate success in designing and implementing complex technical and functional solutions, identifying gaps, and addressing the gaps with solutions

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years SAP configuration experience in the FI module
• 3+ years SAP configuration experience in the CO module

Preferred Qualifications:

• Year-End Carry Forward Experience
• Knowledge of substitutions and validations
• Solid experience in Oil & Gas accounting and/or business experience

Required Skills: SAP FI/CO (ECC, not S/4 HANA) SAP ECC functional analysis and configuration of SAP FI/CO in ECC Not looking for a developer.
