UTSC Substitute Teacher

Description: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic skills by implementing lesson plans and daily duties of the absent teacher. Job Summary: Instruct classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities for a teacher during the time of teacher absence. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning while maintaining order in the classroom. Supervises students and aides. Good oral and written communication skils. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain the safety, well-being, and work output of students. Maintainaccurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Perform other duties assigned by the principal. Leaves reports when appropriation at the conclusion of each day. Maintain confidentiality. Qualifications: Valid substitute teaching license.
